Additional GRIFFIN TECHNOLOGY GarageBand Microphone Cable 3105-XLR Information
|
If you've ever tried to connect your guitar to your computer, you'll appreciate the simplicity of the GarageBand Guitar Cable. This high quality, magnetically shielded cable eliminates the need for additional adapters - just plug one end into your Mac's input port and the other end to your axe. The Griffin GarageBand Guitar Cable makes using a guitar with GarageBand a snap. GarageBand already includes amazing effects and amps built in that can make any electric guitar sound like almost anything. The problem is that electric guitars use 1/4" size instrument cables, and the Mac input is 1/8" mini-jack headphone. The GarageBand Guitar Cable uses both connection types and splits the mono guitar signal into the stereo mini-jack - all in one beautiful, sturdy, 10 foot cable.

An excellent, inexpensive way to get around that is to use a Griffin Tech. Camcorder manufacturers make compromises to hold down bulk and weight. GarageBand Mic Cable. The smaller the camcorder, the greater the compromises. One of the first things to go is accommodation of decent external audio sources. We use wireless mics and simply connect the receiver to the camcorder with one of these neat devices that converts XLR to 1/8 mini. Good deal.
I bought this to play my mp3 player into mic amplification equipment. It works great for the purpose. Great quality cable.
It works great. It does what it's supposed to do. I just wish it were a little bit longer.
I'm surprised I've been unable to find a similar cord elsewhere. The signal through the cable/preamp/mic is very clean. Good product, feels durable like it will last for many recordings unlike other cheap mic plug adapters.
This product does exactly what it's supposed to: connect an XLR microphone to your computer's 1/8 jack (sound card) or any other connector that requires an 1/8 input (for example, the iMic, which is also awesome). I've had no problems with it.
